Ok, now for the answers.

The answer is #3 for each and every question.

A food is bad for you if it fits into one of four criteria-if you are allergic to it, if you don’t like it, if it’s spoiled, of if there is too much of it.

God, I hate a sneaky professor, don’t you?

I hate anything sneaky. You know who is sneaky? Food marketers and the people who talk shit about my favorite foods just because they can. I just read a article that said, beans and beets are toxic. Really? Toxic? I can think of a lot of things that are toxic but I can tell you for sure.

No one in the world has ever died from bean toxicity.

Eating, food, and our physiology is too complicated to villainize foods. Plus, nobody wins when we narrow our options and make eating harder than it already is. Eating a balanced, healthy diet, in America is complicated by the enormous amount of world-class, mis-information. For example: hard to read packaging with distracting snake-oil claims lead us astray, fear mongers who tell us that we will die eating the foods we love, even in moderation. And, self-proclaimed “experts” who are people with strong opinions and access to wifi who just like to make the uncertain world, certain.

Here is the truth. We aren’t supposed to eat piles and piles of anything. We’re not supposed to eat a ton of saturated fat, wheat, alcohol, artificial sweetener or anything for that matter. If you like it, aren’t allergic to it, if the food isn’t spoiled, we can eat bread, bacon, butter and a pop-tart if you are really adventurous and living on the edge.

Just so you don’t eat it every day and without a good dose of vegetables as a chaser.

So can you just tell people this for me?

Can you just tell everyone so we can calm everyone down a little bit?

Could you share this with your friends, I would really appreciate it. I need a nap.

it should be this simple. Food needs to taste good and stave off hunger.
